The Theodor Buschmann Shipyard has made a long overdue investment and is now operating with a new autogenous cutting system after 30 years.
30 years old, highly prone to repairs, and increasingly difficult to salvage with spare parts – the old autogenous cutting system at Theodor Buschmann Shipyard had already seen its best days.
Furthermore, the control computer still ran on „Windows 2000,“ which constantly caused IT headaches.
In short, to continue ensuring high quality and to remain agile in the market, acquiring a new system was unavoidable.
Our choice fell on a system from ESAB Welding & Cutting GmbH. Its exact designation is: COMBIREX™ DX 4000 with VISION™ T5 control.

With a track length of 12.00m and a track width of 3.50m, all common shipbuilding plates with a material thickness ranging from 3.00 to 150.00 mm can be cut.

The cutting programs are generated directly from the design documents by the designer and made available online to the machine operator. The machine operator can also create simple geometries directly at the machine.
We are very pleased to have secured the future of the shipyard with this acquisition and to have taken an important step in our efforts to modernise the shipyard.
