We recently welcomed a very special television crew on board one of our harbor tugs: Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) was a guest on board our FAIRPLAY-95 to film for the popular reportage series “Rund um den Michel”.
This time, the focus of the show is on Pauline, our apprentice ship mechanic, who accompanied the camera team on two assignments. Pauline was absolutely confident, authentic and likeable in front of the camera – a real ambassador for maritime training at Fairplay!⚓
Authentic, up close and in the middle of the action, the report shows what training on a harbor tug is all about – from technical tasks on board to teamwork during real harbor operations.
A big thank you also goes to the entire crew of the FAIRPLAY-95, who contributed to the success of the filming with a great deal of openness and team spirit.
“Rund um den Michel” is a weekly NDR program that portrays people from Hamburg and the north – exciting, moving and always personal. Each episode is about stories straight from life, often with a look behind the scenes of special professions, places or events.
We are delighted that our trainee and her exciting work are now part of this format. Anyone who has always wanted to know what everyday life on a harbor tug is like and what makes vocational training as a ship mechanic so special should definitely not miss the broadcast!
