The AUGE23 training group recently completed an impressive project that now adorns the walls of the Seemannsschule in Travemünde. Under the guidance of their instructor, the trainees were given a piece of NORDIC’s towing wire, which they integrated into a fixture in a creative project of their own. The result of their work is not only functional, but also aesthetically pleasing.
When the principal saw the finished exhibit, he was immediately impressed by the attention to detail and the quality of the craftsmanship. As a result, he decided without further ado to display the piece of trailing wire in the holder in the school foyer to present it to both pupils and visitors to the Seemannsschule.
The presentation gives a new perspective to the towing wire, which was originally used in shipping, and at the same time honors it as an example of the trainees‘ craftsmanship and practical training. The exhibition is a real eye-catcher and underlines the high quality of practical training at the Seemannsschule in Travemünde.
This project not only shows the successful use of craftsmanship, but also the close connection between theory and practice in training, which is a top priority at the Seemannsschule.
Many thanks to our creative and skillful training group!
