We are delighted to be sponsoring the dedicated club Altona 93 again in the coming season. On June 27, the players with the new jerseys were allowed to visit us at the Schlepperbrücke Neumühlen. They were given the opportunity to experience the Fairplay 96 up close and take photos of the new games. A special highlight: our captain even let the team onto the bridge – a great experience for everyone involved!
This marks the sixth year of our long-standing partnership with Altona 93 – a strong sign of continuity and trust. We wish the team every success in their preparations and a successful season in the Regionalliga Nord!
After the major promotion, which head coach Andreas Bergmann described as the “Miracle of Verden”, the focus is now on a stable and competitive season. Bergmann emphasizes that the squad is already fit for the regional league, and second chairman Ragnar Törber is also convinced of the team’s strength and character.
Although eight players have left the club – Lawrence Schön, Eudel Monteiro, Oliver Doege, Ezra Ampofo, Kevin Ingreso, Lenny Glissmann, Yannick Petzschke and Prince Hüttner – seven new additions bring a breath of fresh air and valuable experience to the team.
The new additions include:
- Nils Brüning: Attacking player with 211 regional league games and 41 goals, who comes from Eintracht Norderstedt.
- Emmanuel Ntsiakoh: central defender with regional league experience at HSV II and FC Teutonia 05.
- Josh Redfield: Defender from California who will strengthen the defense.
- Emmanuel Appiah: Young winger with almost 50 regional league appearances for HSV U21.
- Tayfun Can: Midfielder with regional league championship and national cup experience.
- Bendix Gelzer and Keenon Erfurth: Attackers from SV Eichede, who are moving to AFC with a lot of motivation and regional ties.
Törber sums it up: “We have kept the base that ‘built the house’ and are delighted to be adding these exciting characters to the team.” With this strong mix of experience and talent, Altona 93 is ideally equipped for a successful season.
